If your question is not answered below please send us your question here.
1. How do I gain access to the PIP Practices? |
| Please check the information on the “PIP Programs” page or feel free to contact us with your question. |
2. Is there a Practices price list? |
| Prices are shown on all the disciplines (CSA, Electrical, Process Control, etc.) pages. These pages can be accessed from the "PIP Practices" page by clicking on the discipline title in the chart. Abstracts of Practices, if applicable, are available on the disciplines pages also. |
3. How can I get an electronic copy of a Practice? |
PIP Members have access to electronic copies of PIP Practices in various file formats. PIP Subscribers also have access to electronic copies of PIP Practices in PDF format and, in some cases, Electronic Entry Data Sheets (EEDS) in Microsoft Word or Excel format. For information on becoming a Member or Subscriber please see the “Join PIP” page. Single Copy purchase of electronic PIP Practices (PDF) is available from our two distributors – IHS and Techstreet. As copyrighted material, these have limited utilization vs. that provided to a Member or Subscriber and there are no notices of revisions provided. Information about prices and ordering from IHS or Techstreet can be found on their websites at: http://engineers.ihs.com/collections/pip/index.jsp and http://www.techstreet.com/info/pip.tmpl respectively. The purchase of individual Practices is also available in "hard copy" (paper copy) format here. |
4. How can I tell if PIP Practices are applicable to my business needs? |
PIP offers a Trial Evaluation Subscription option to potential PIP Practices users to determine applicability of PIP Practices to meet their needs. |
5. What is the value of PIP participation and utilization of Practices? |
Please visit our “PIP Value” page. |
6. How do I join PIP or gain access to PIP Practices? What are the membership/subscription/licensing requirements? |
Please visit our “PIP Programs” page for information about program provided PIP Practices access, program eligibility, participation requirements and cost. |
7. My company is a member of the Construction Industry Institute. Does that mean I am also a member of PIP? |
No. Because PIP is a separately funded initiative of the Construction Industry Institute , your company's membership in CII does not entitle your company to membership in PIP. |
8. Who is the Process Industry Practices Director? |
Information about the Director and other PIP Staff is shown on the “Contact Us” page. |
9. How do I find the PIP offices? |
Driving directions to the CII/PIP offices are made available as an Acrobat PDF file. One map provides general directions from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and another shows the immediate neighborhood with hotel information. |
