Process Industry Practices Subscription Program

Process Industry Practices Subscription Program

Utilizing support from its Member Companies, Process Industry Practices (PIP) is producing recommended Practices for the process industry. Many published PIP Practices are also applicable to related industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Pulp & Paper, and Power. PIP Practices are developed from the blended or “harmonized” internal standards that capture knowledge and experience of PIP Member Companies. Current lists of published Practices are maintained on the PIP website at: www.pip.org.

Non-member organizations that have a need for PIP Practices for the detailed design, procurement, and construction of manufacturing facilities for the industry may benefit from the PIP Subscription Program (PIP-SP), which distributes published recommended Practices to Subscribers.

PIP-SP is a result of requests by non-PIP members who want to use Practices extensively. Potential subscribers include owner/operators and EPC contractors, as well as suppliers, vendors, and fabricators who are interested in obtaining and using Practices but do not choose to participate as full voting members.

What is included in PIP-SP?

Non-member users and potential users with the current option of purchasing published Practices will, as Subscribers to PIP-SP, receive electronic access to Practices available in .pdf format, and Electronic Entry Data Sheets (see “EEDS” below) in .doc and .xls format. Included with a Subscription to the P&ID Practice is a symbols library with files in both MicroStation cells and AutoCAD blocks. Subscribers are notified by email whenever new or revised Practices are published. Subscribers are provided with the same electronic access and email notification as PIP Members.

The PIP Subscription Agreement is an initial three year commitment with an annual fee that is determined by the number of disciplines included in the Subscription. Please see the pricing options below.

PIP membership is not included with the purchase of a subscription, and membership is not a prerequisite to becoming a Subscriber. The Subscription Program does not include PIP voting rights or participation on PIP teams or committees.

Subscribers will have the opportunity to attend PIP functions by special invitation. Subscribers are listed on the PIP website with a link to their website if provided.

PIP-SP has 2 pricing options:
